This is the Sherborne Leyburn manual recliner chair. It can be upholstered in many different fabrics in a wide choice of colours. The back cushion design creates great support for the lumbar region as well as cushioning for the back of the head & shoulders. The seat cushion is filled with resilient foam interior with spring units below and there is a chaise platform linking the footplate & seat.
The recliner action can be released with either an inset catch or side handle. Simply release the action whilst sat in the recliner and the
footplate will sweep up behind the back of the users legs to lift &
support them creating an ideal position for watching TV or reading. To
further recline move deeper into the recliner whilst pushing into the
inside back of the recliner and then the back will lower. The position
of the back can be regulated by adjustment to the position of the user
and therefore the centre of their weight. To return to a normal seated
position simply sit forwards which will allow the back of the recliner
to return to upright, and then sweep the footplate back into position
with the back of the legs.
