The Sherborne Leyburn manual reclining 2 seater lounger sofa is wider than a usual 2 seater sofa. It can be upholstered in a wide choice choice of colours & styles to suit any homes colour scheme. The broad back cushions are designed to create great support for the lumbar region as well as cushioning for the back of the head & shoulders. The seat cushions are both filled with resilient foam interiors which have spring units below. There are also seat chaises linking the footplates to the seats.
The recliner action on either side can be released with either an inset catch or side handle. These are positioned on the outside arm of either side of the sofa so are very easy to reach down to. Simply release the action whilst sat in the recliner and the footplate will sweep up behind the back of the users legs to lift & support them creating an ideal position for watching TV or reading. To further recline move deeper into the sofa whilst pushing into the inside back and then the back will lower. The position of the back of the sofa can be regulated by adjustment to the position of the user and therefore the centre of their weight. To return to a normal seated position simply sit forwards which will allow the back of the sofa to return to upright, and then sweep the footplate back into position with the back of the legs.
Each side of the sofa reclines independently to the other.
